Ninety years later, back on Main Street
StanCraft began in 1933 in Lakeside, Montana, building wooden boats on Flathead Lake. The company grew, moved its boat shop to North Idaho, and added a construction division. Opening a Kalispell office brings the whole thing full circle. This is not a company expanding into Montana. It is a Montana company coming home.
That matters for a practical reason. We are not learning the Flathead Valley from scratch. We know the lake, the seasons, the inspectors and the trades, and we are members of the Kalispell Chamber, the Whitefish Chamber, the Lakeside Somers Chamber and the Flathead Building Association.
